Atchison County, located in the extreme northwestern section of Missouri, was organized in 1845 and named for David Rice Atchison, the U.S. Senator from Missouri beginning in 1843. These records include the following: Marriages Book A, 1845-1863 with officials named; Abstracts of Will Book A, 1845-1871; and Administration Docket 1845-1865.
